Update of pig market in Vietnam

Last week I visited Vietnam and discussed the current pig price with a number of farmers! It would seem that the industry has rebounded to high levels of profit!
The first three quarters of 2013 were tough for the market, high corn prices and lower pork prices. As a result a number of producers left the industry and as a result prices have increased! The industry is also enjoying lower corn prices and Vietnamese feed millers have taken this opportunity to increase stocks of corn and placed large orders for corn.
